The Scion Conflict Universe
Scionide is based off the Scion Conflict universe, an original sci-fi universe and creation by science fiction author D.A Basque, who is also the sole developer of Scionide and the owner of Syonix. Scion Conflict first began as a story, then an art project, transitioning into video game modifications, and finally becoming its own standalone game for PC. The Scion Conflict 2267 AD book can be purchased on Amazon which sets the historical foundation for the entire Scion Conflict universe, a must have for sci-fi enthusiasts. Scionide takes place where the book ends, entering into the year 2268 AD. While there are many factions in Scion Conflict, ranging from human to non-human factions including alien civilizations, the center of the conflict revolves around two primary factions, the authoritarian Scion Empire and secessionist Amalgamate Republic. They represent two opposing ideologies, one of complete human supremacy, strong leadership, and total control. The other of liberty, democracy, independence, and social egalitarian values. Together these two vie for the galaxy, waging war on battlefields across the stars, in what has become known as the "Scion Conflict".
Scionide as a video game is the first real initiation of the Scion Conflict universe into the world of gaming as a standalone video game. Before Scionide existed, Scion Conflict modifications on several games carried the mantle of the Scion Conflict universe, these modifications have been enjoyed by well over 41,000+ individuals as of writing this press kit on 4/5/2025.
Scionide is currently a fast-paced tactical sci-fi FPS with Third Person elements and with several game modes available in Skirmish and Online. It supports both single player PvE, multiplayer PvP, and multiplayer co-op PvE, in arena style maps. However, Scionide aims to be much more than this in the long term. Roadmap plans to full release include a grand strategy campaign where players can determine the fate of the Scion Conflict, fighting for control over planets in critical engagements against AI factions who are also attempting to secure victory. Furthermore, there are planned a variety of maps, well over 20 planned, including large battlefields with sprawling terrains, structures, and cities - which would include vehicles, aircraft, and mechs for combat operations. Some additional elements planned for later down the pipeline include deployable structures, AI squad behavior, and overall polishing to enhance player immersion and enjoyment. Scionide and Scion Conflict is a passion project 4+ years in the making. This universe is specially for lovers of science fiction looking for a new and refreshing immersive sci-fi universe experience.
Scionide brings a fusion of sci-fi elements, themes, and inspirations, drawing attention to color palettes, art designs, and modular environments. In the distant future of 2267 AD, anything and everything seems to be possible, and Syonix is committed to bring the Scion Conflict universe to life in a tangible way.
Factions
The game currently features two playable factions: the Scion Empire and the Amalgamate Republic. However, many more factions from the Scion Conflict: 2267 AD universe are planned for future updates. These include the dug-in Martian Defense Forces, the remnant Earth Colonies Federation, the Archonic worshipping Solar Blood Hands, the sentient AI armies of Athena's Iron Legions, the mercenary Atlas Corporation, the interdimensional Archons and their hybrid human-alien Firstborn army, the fungoid alien Awakened, and the reptilian Bocean—each bringing unique lore, playstyles, and tactical possibilities to the battlefield.
Established in 2245 after a decisive coup d'etat over the Earth Colonies Federation, the Scion Empire now reigns supreme across the stars. Forged in the fires of war and bound by a singular purpose—the supremacy of mankind—the Empire, under the wise guidance of the Scion Emperor, unites all humans under one banner, one will, and one destiny. Dedicated to the survival and ascendancy of the human race, the Scion Empire pushes ever outward, expanding its dominion across the Milky Way and into the uncharted reaches beyond.
In the aftermath of the Earth Colonies Federation’s collapse, the Scion Empire’s iron grip sparked unrest across the stars. Years of brutal crackdowns gave rise to mass uprisings, forcing countless dissidents and dreamers to flee to frontier colonies still beyond the Empire’s full reach. In exile, a new vision took root. Quietly, in hidden labs and secret councils, rebels, scientists, and military leaders forged an alliance. From the ashes of rebellion, the Amalgamate Republic emerged, declaring its independence with one unshakable purpose: to restore democracy, reclaim freedom, and ignite a new dawn for humanity.
In-game Classes
Scionide is currently in early access and features four distinct in-game classes: Operator, Specialist, Medic, and Vanguard. Each class fulfills a specific role, shaping team dynamics and combat strategies. Syonix plans to add more classes as the development progresses.
Operator – Provides teammates with additional ammunition, maintaining consistent firepower during extended firefights.
Specialist – A tactical support class that boosts the team's speed and health attributes while offering access to extra explosive ordnance. The Specialist’s capabilities vary by faction:
Scion Empire Specialists are significantly faster than standard units but come with reduced health.
Amalgamate Republic Specialists, on the other hand, have increased health compared to the average soldier but move at a slightly slower pace.
Medic – Responsible for healing and survivability, the Medic equips the team with medkits to restore health after sustaining damage.
Vanguard – A heavily armored shock trooper class designed for frontline combat. Vanguards are slow-moving but durable, with no support abilities—purely built for taking and dealing punishment.
Below are examples of each class as they appear in the Amalgamate Republic faction.

Maps
The current maps include:
Station – A high-orbit space station suspended in the void.
Atrium – A bustling commercial sector within a towering high-rise on Scion Prime, the capital world of the Scion Empire.
Derelict – An abandoned military installation on a remote outpost world at the edge of human space.
ARCC-09 – A fortified Amalgamate Republic command center located on Denov, the capital of the Republic.
These four initial maps, released with early access, are designed in an arena-style format, optimized for fast-paced, high-intensity gameplay. Syonix plans to add many more maps as development progresses!

Cydonia is an expansive combat zone designed for massive battles and complex operations. Spanning rugged Martian terrain, it features towering mountain ranges, deep valleys, sheer cliffs, ravines, and rocky outcrops, along with strategically placed structures, entrenched bases, fortified trenches, and subterranean facilities.
This map serves as the primary testing ground for experimental vehicles, towering mechs, aircraft, and multidimensional warfare mechanics. Whether you’re dogfighting in the upper atmosphere, engaging in mechanized ground combat, or navigating tight underground corridors, Cydonia offers a layered, vertical battlefield that demands adaptability and tactical precision.
Set on Mars, in the legendary region of Cydonia, this zone is currently under development and will be deployed in a future update of Scionide.
Scionide, now in early access, already offers a diverse and deadly arsenal. Players can gear up with everything from machine guns, shotguns, and marksman rifles, to carbines, sidearms, combat knives, lethal grenades, smoke grenades, mines, and even ballistic shields for tactical advantage.
But this is just the beginning.
Syonix has ambitious plans to massively expand the weapon pool, aiming to deliver a vast and versatile armory by the time Scionide reaches full release—ensuring no two battles ever play the same.
